Located in the north-east of the city centre. The Grand Cinema Plaisir was opened in 1910. It was demolished in 1919 and the Voltaire Aubert Palace was built on the site opened prior to 1946. Taken over by Gaumont, it was re-named Voltaire Gaumont and was closed in 1969

A bank and apartment building now stand on the site.
