Lyceum Theatre

Located in Blackburn, Lancashire on Mincing Lance near the corner of Clayton Street. The Lyceum Music Hall was opened in 1880. It was designed by an architect named Clulshaw. On the 28th September 1896 it screened the first films in Blackburn, and 100 years later a plaque commemorating this event was place on the building by the British Film Institute. The Lyceum Theatre was closed in 1902.

It went into other uses over the years, and by 2005 was operating as a nightclub named ‘Never Never Land’ and ‘Cest La Vie Cellar Club’. The building was demolished around 2007.
