Photograph of the Balby cinema 1922 with group of children awaiting opening by the Manager who conveniently lived next door in the first house on left with his family. A frequent electric tram service ran from Doncaster to Balby powered by the power lines overhead. Further along a group of people stand in front of the new War Memorial consecrated 11th November 1921 commemorating the 111 men from the Parish of Balby who died in the First World War. Within 100 yards a glimpse of Social History.
