Located in Kidderminster, Worcestershire. The Electric Theatre was opened on 26th March 1910. It was a small cinema, and in 1915 it was enlarged and re-opened as the Grand Playhouse on 27th December 1915. It now had 1,010 seats, a 25 feet wide proscenium, a 25 feet deep stage and four dressing rooms. In the 1920’s it presented pictures and variety.

On 12th September 1929 it was equipped with a Filmophone sound system, which had been replaced by 1937 to a Western Electric(WE) sound system.

The Grand Theatre was never equipped to screen CinemaScope films and was closed in 7th February 1959.
