Located in Oswaldtwistle, to the south of Accrington, Lancashire. The Empire Picture Palace was opened around 1914. Alterations were carried out in 1919. In 1930 it was equipped with a British Talking Pictures(BTP) sound system after further alterations had been carried out to the plans of architect Richard Jaques of Nelson, Lancashire.

The Empire Picture Palace was still open in 1954, but was closed soon after. It was converted into a dance hall.

It later became a garage, and was eventually demolished.
