“THE PORT HEDLAND PICTURE GARDENS” WA – Photo courtesy of “The Glass Family” – The Port Hedland Picture Gardens were true open air theatre gardens, featuring traditional deckchairs on bare earth, and the walls covered in greenery. One night they screened a 3D movie & handed out 3D glasses, and a character on the screen poked the audience with a spear. This caused the old fellas & kids to jump out of their seats.
