This 1911 photo of the Majestic was included in the 2011 Images of America book “Fruita,” by Denise and Steve Hight. In its caption, the authors wrote that Michael Kiefer opened the theater for movies in 1910. From there it was purchased by Samuel and Lottie Sturtevant, then by Fred and Carrie Fraser, and possibly last by Robert and Melba Walker. There are a few more glimpses of the Majestic in the book, which I recommend to anyone interested in Fruita history.

I presume that any photo taken in 1911 is in the public domain by now, but I am not an IP lawyer.
