Marquee Cinemas opened the $12 million, 1,454-seat Pinnacle 12 on November 19, 2015. Included are two 71-foot Marquee Extreme Cinemas(MXC)with Dolby Atmos sound.

At the ticketing kiosk patrons can select their own reserved ticket and recliners for present or future movies. According to local news, on opening day 400 tickets were sold for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”, which was still a month away.

Other amenities are an arcade and pre-show seating areas with video walls, which shows previews and other entertainment. In addition to regular concession items, they have sliders, pizza, chicken tenders and more, but no alcohol is served.

Marquee Cinemas, as of this opening, has 17 locations in nine states. Curtis McCall founded the chain in Rainelle, West Virginia in 1979. Mr. McCall, age 58, passed away in July of 2015.
