The Commercial Theatre was listed in the 1940 edition of Film Daily Yearbook with 150 seats. Earl Kipp leased the Commercial Theatre building and purchased the equipment from the Commercial Club in 1943. He operated the theatre on a continual basis until he closed it in 1963, just months before his death.
