Lincoln Theatre

This theatre was where Lisbon residents saw their first motion pictures. It opened as the Opera House changing its name to the Lisbon Opera House then to the Lisbon Theatre and then to the Lincoln Theatre. Year of opening appears to be 1890.

In January 1925, Harry Moranz sold the theatre to Sara Robinson who remodeled and changed the venue to the Lisbon Theatre reopening on February 2, 1925. The theatre reverts to and the Lisbon Opera House in 1927 and back to the Lisbon Theatre in the 1930’s.

In October of 1936, Robert G. Madigan took over the Lisbon Theatre and renamed it the Lincoln Theatre. In April of 1955, Sam Barack becomes the final owner of the Lincoln Theatre closing it at the end of October that same year. The theatre was demolished in March of 1959.
