Tryon Theatre was located at 72 E Main St. according to the 1959 Manning’s Amsterdam Directory.

This is an excerpt from Boxoffice magazine April 23, 1949.

“The Tryon Theatre, 998-seat stadium-type house on Main street. was opened by Robert Zimmerman, with the Brandt circuit of New York managing, buying and booking for the house. Cost of the Tryon Theatre is said to exceed $300,000.
