The Kinozentrum am Frauentor was opened as a single-screen movie theater with 900 seats in 1953 by Willi Burth (winner of an Scientific and Engineering Award of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in 1987). In the 1980’s, three more screens were installed.
There are four screens: Kino 1 (Ravensburg’s largest cinema hall) with 599 seats, Kino 2 with 180 seats, Kino 3 with 78 seats and Kino 4 with 43 seats.
The Kinozentrum am Frauentor is operated with the other remaining cinema in Ravensburg, Die Burg (also founded by Willi Burth), as “CineParC Ravensburg”.
