The Millerstown Theatre opened October 8, 1927 with the film “Laddie” starring John Bowers. The theatre closed in 1931 but was reopened in 1933. Arson destroying a nearby hotel and bank damaged the theatre in March of 1941. A year later, a projection booth fire damaged the theatre. The theatre made the switch to widescreen in the 1950’s before apparently closing May 10, 1958 with Victor Mature in “Zarak”. The theatre was demolished in 1970.
