This one is a bit fuzzy but the venue appears to have opened as the Star Theatre on January 31, 1913 on the west side of Cassville’s square. New operators take over the theatre in 1917. The theatre would eventually be relaunched as the Gem Theatre by 1926, likely in the same location. In 1929, a new theatre with sloped floors is commissioned on the south side of the square.
The Gem Theatre gives way to the new Ozark Theatre on May 1, 1929.
