Louis Wolfe opened the Strand Theatre in South Ottawa on May 19, 1949 with “The Fuller Brush Man,” “Eyes of Texas” along with the cartoon, “Figaro and Frankie.” This was Ottawa’s third Strand Theatre but first in the sound era.
