The Queen Theatre dates back to at least May of 1917 in Aspermont, TX. The Queen Theatre transitioned to sound. The theatre made news in August of 1954 when a legal case was heard at the theatre in which two females were seated on the jury – the first women ever placed on a jury in the city’s history. The theatre ceased operations after a April 28, 1956 showing of Randolph Scott in “Man With a Gun” likely at the end of lease.
