Roxy Eimsbüttel

Located in the Eimsbuttel district to the northwest of the city centre. The Roxy Eimsbuttel was opened in 1954 and was part of the cinema chain leltheda Iderhoff, who also operated the Stern Lichtspiele in St. Pauli, Roxy Eppendorf, Roxy Barmbek & Roxy Hamm (all these have their own pages on Cinema Treasures). The architects were Meldner & Idler. The seats were manufactured by Kampphoner. It was equipped for CinemaScope in 1956. The projectors were by Bauer B 8 and a Klangfilm sound system was installed. The Roxy Eimsbuttel was closed in 1968.

The former cinema now hauses a bank & a shoe store.
