Stellinger Lichtspiele

Located in the Eimsbuttel district of Stellingen to the northwest of the city. On 1st October 1925, the first screening of movies at the restaurant ‘Suz Friedenseich’ took place and was operated by Maria & Michael Walter and later by Schuette, Danzeler & Bergman, Filmtheater Stellingen GmbH Heinz Hoes. In 1928 it was re-named Filmtheater Stellingen. It was closed during Wolrd War II possible due to wartime conditions.

It was re-opened in 1949 as the Stellinger Lichtspiele. The projectors were by Bauer Stuttgart and a Klangfilm Eurdyn sound system was installed. In 1958 CinemaScope was added.

The Stellinger Lichtspiele was closed in 1962 and was later used as office space.
