Located in the Alton district of Alton Alstadt in the west of the city. The Kino Neu Altona was opened on 1st August 1961. It replaced the Kino Palast located at Thedestrasse 68 which was demolished (it has its own page on Cinema Treasures).

The Kino Neu Altona was operated by Heino & Hugo Timmerman. The architect was Richard Fromm. The E IX projectors were by Ernemann and the seats were by Schroeder & Henzelmann. In 1971 the cinema was listed as the KINA Lichstpiele which was short for Kino Neu Altona. The cinema was closed on 17th January 1973.
