Located in the centre district of Veddel The Lichtburg Veddel was opened in 1949. and was operated by Ernst, Ferdinand & Gertrud Huelst. The cinema contained a stage for live theatre. The E IX projectors were by Ernemann and it was equipped with a Klangfilm sound system. In 1956 CinemScope was added. The Lichtburg Vettel was closed in 1963.
