The 500-seat Gem Theatre was opened by 1926. By 1937 it had been renamed Dickinson Theatre. On August 4, 1951, Boxoffice reported, “The former Dickinson Theatre reopened late in July with the new name of Trail on its new marquee.”
The 1951 Film Daily Year Book listed the Dickinson Theatre, address 118 E. Park Avenue (now E. Park Street), and 428 seats.
