Die Kurbel West Filmtheater was opened in 1955 and was operated by Erich Menz & Heinrich Jaeck Filmtheaterbetriebe GmbH. It was equipped with a CinemaScope screen and the projectors were FH 66 manufactured by Frieske & Hoepfner. The seats were by Schroeder & Henzelmann.

The cinema was closed around 1971.
