Located in the west of the city centre. Originally a 150-seat single screen which opened prior to 1946, the Studio Obligado was part of a small chain of cinemas operated by Henri Douvin. It was equipped with 16mm projectors. In 1967 35mm projectors were installed. It was twinned in the late-1960’s/early-1970’s and re-named Studios Obligado. It was operated by M. Benoit. It was closed on May 21, 1974. By December 1974 had been re-opened and re-named La Boite a Films. It was closed on 30th January 1987.
