The Capitol Theater was opened in 1953 and was operated by Marie Tondok. It was designed by architect Ernst Huhn. The AP XII projectors were by Askania and a Klangfilm sound system was installed. After 1971 the cinema was tripled with seating for 163, 83 & 63. The cinema was closed on 8th January 2020.
