When the Indiana Theatre of Bloomington continued to show theatre advertisements in surrounding Nashville and Morgantown area newspapers, Morgantown had a chance to open a theatre during the 1930’s. The Morgantown Community Theatre (later shorten to just Community Theatre) opened its doors by 1936. It was closed in 1953.
