Located in the district of Unterbilk in the south of the city centre. A ballroom was converted into the Odeon Filmtheater Unterbilk which opened on 3rd May 1928. It was operated by Emil Koster. The cinema was designed by architect Emil Huhn. In 1943 it was destroyed by Allied bombs during World War II.

In 1949 it was rebuilt to the plans of architect Toni Spangenberg. The new Odeon Filmtheater was opened on 1st January 1950 with “Katchen fur alles” (Katchen for everything) directed by Akos von Rathony and starring Hannelore Schroth & Willy Frisch. In 1958 a CinemaScope screen was installed. The projectors were by Ernemann and the seats were by Bahre.

The Odeon Filmtheater was closed on 12th June 1963. It was converted back into being a ballroom.

By 2020 it is in use as a bathroom showroom.
