The Orda Cinema was built in 1936 by Yaakov Rosenblum (1890-1962) in the Bauhaus International style of that era. The opening of the cinema took place on 21st April 1937 with a premiere which proceeds were dedicated to the establishment of an orphanage in Tel Aviv (the neighbouring town).

On weekends the cinema was also functioned as a gathering place for different political parties as well as a small stage theatre.

In 1991 it closed. Part of the building was used as a bank branch and as a supermarket.

The building has been declared as “Strict conservation building”.
