Located on the Southeast corner of Main Street and E. Cherry Street. The 200-seat Gem Theatre was opened in the early-1920’s. It was on the first floor of the Masonic Hall. It was closed in the 1930’s.

It reopened in 1938 as the Grafton Theatre and in the late-1940’s it was enlarged to accommodate 284-seats.

On December 26, 1956, Boxoffice reported that Mrs. Edith Brands had sold the Grafton Theatre, along with the Brighton Theatre, to Ralph Johnston of Grafton. He said he planned to show movies in Grafton on Fridays and Brighton on Saturdays. It was closed in 1958 and converted into an antique shop & coffee shop. The building is still a Masonic Hall upstairs, while the former theatre is in office use by the Hotel Credit Association.
