Manhattan Arts / Erotica Theater building - 2021

The Manhattan Arts Theater opened on June 22, 1970 with Lyn Harris in “Sin for a Song”. It was closed in June 1971 and reopened by new management in 1973 as the Erotica Theatre and closed after a police raid as mentioned on the March 12th, 1975 Dallas Morning News on page 4.

The building in 2020 was in use as a gay outreach center named Create the Culture Together.

The theater was in the back of what is currently (2021) a pawn shop on the corner of Carroll and Columbia.
