From the May 18, 1952 Chicago Tribune:

TV Moves Irish Jigs Into Old Movie Theater

The Sun movie theater, a recent victim of television, reopened this week-end as a ballroom for Irish and American dancing. Dancers will perform Irish jigs on Sundays and American steps on Fridays. An air cooling system and a large maple floor have been installed. It is planned to make the ballroom available to teen-agers one night a week under adult supervision. Social organizations may make reservations on non-scheduled dates.
