The Bijou Theatre launched in downtown Dewar by G.A. Richards in 1914 showing movies and having some live entertainment. Claude Oyler took over from Richards in May of 1915 changing the venue’s name to the Majestic Theatre. The Majestic Theatre is listed as “new” in 1927 so cold have potentially moved to a new location.
