The Storm Theatre was opened by 1927. After remodeling in early-August 1937, the theatre reopened on August 29, 1937 with Dick Powell in “The Singing Marine” along with a short entitled “Bedtime Vaudeville” and the Merrie Melodies cartoon “He Was Her Man”.

After almost 30 years as the Storm Theatre, it closed for the final time in early-1956.

On June 20, 1958, the owner of the theatre would later consider any reasonable offer.
