The Mayfair Theatre was opened by 1937. By 1938 it was listed as (Closed), but had reopened by 1939. It was still open in 1957. It resided just up the street from the ill fated, but dashing Strand Theatre. Unlike the Strand Theatre, the Mayfair Theatre, or at least the building, lives on as a purveyor of authentic Italian cuisine.
