Gloria-Palast

Built on the site of the Passage-Theater 1907-1909 which became the Neues Tonbild Theater 1909-1927. The Gloria-Palast was opened on 8th April 1928 with George O'Brien & Janet Gaynor in “Sunrise:A Song of Two Humans”. It was designed in a Streamline Moderne style both inside and outside. Seating in the auditorium was in orchestra and balcony levels. It suffered from some bomb damage by Allied forces during World War II. Repairs were later carried out.

In September 1978 a second screen with 105-seats was added. It was closed on 30th April 2000. It is now in retail use.
