Located in the valley mining town of Abercarn, Monmouthshire, 10 miles northwest of Newport. The Victoria Hall Cinema was opened by 1927. It had a 28ft wide proscenium and was equipped with a British Acoustic (BA) sound system. By 1942 it was known as the Cinema. It was still open in 1949, but had closed by 1950.

It has since been demolished and the site is used by S. Williams Car Sales.

The former Miner’s Institute building located at 69 Newport Road was known as the Cinema. This still stands and is in use as an OAP Centre.
