This theater was located in an old three-story brick commercial building, dating to sometime before 1884. It seems to have been opened as a temporary facility following the April 1910 fire that destroyed the Bijou Theatre.

It may initially have only served the vaudeville market, but at some point movies began to be shown. The chronology is a bit garbled, and I suspect reversed. It seems a 1913 sale of the theater resulted in a renaming to the Napanese. The 1915-17 directories list it as the Amuse Theayre, definitely showing films.

By 1950, this building had been demolished for an expansion of the neighboring First National Bank. The whole block then fell victim to urban ‘renewal’, and is today a parking lot.
