The Fox Theatre opened as the ‘The Showplace of Kitchener’ on October 9, 1941 with Don Ameche in “Down Argentine Way” & Stan Laurel and Olver Hardy in “The Flying Deuces”. It was was taken over by Premier Theaters shortly after opening. It reopened as Cinema on March 14, 1975, with “Earthquake” in Sensurrond. It was leased to Cineplex Odeon in February 1987 and closed on December 22, 1988, and demolished later.
