The Plymouth Theatre was open by 1915. The theatre was located on the outskirts of the city and was a small neighborhood house. The area had eight theatres within walking distance of each other but the area was densley populated.

The Plymouth was a single floor theatre with a small lobby located mid-block. When the area changed, and the clientele changed, the theatre’s business dropped and it went to weekend-operation only. The Plymouth closed in April 1953 and afterwards, the former theater housed a church for a couple of years. The building was later torn down.
