The Butterfly Theatre was opened in the 1920’s. The original entrance was at the rear of the theatre. It was renamed Myra Theatre in 1948 and a new entrance was created at the screen end of the building. The Myra Theatre was closed in 1955. It stood vacant until 2000 when it reopened as a restaurant. That had closed by 2009.
