Roxy Three Theaters

Located adjacent on the east side of the New Amsterdam Theatre. The Roxy Three Theater was operating as an adult movie by the mid-1980’s and offered 4 new XXX movies on its 3-screens. Programs changed every Wednesday & Sunday and there was one admission price to enter. Movies were screened in the new ‘Crystalvision’ process. At the time of its operation, the ‘cleanup’ of 42nd Street had begun, and the adjacent New Amsterdam Theatre had already closed.

Since demolished, the new building on the site housed a Sephora perfume store which opened in summer of 2009. They had moved out by 2020 and the building was in use as a Covid-19 test center.
