Opened as the Linda Theatre in 1937 seating 396. A small nieghborhood house on a single floor. It was remodeled in 1951 and renamed the Bijou. Two years later in 1953 it was closed and was demolished to make way for the Watkings trafficway.
It was located on the corner of Prospect and 50th street.

I remember going to the Bijou in the 1940’s and never remember seeing or hearing it called the Linda. Thanks for the picture.
