The Prentiss Drive-In was opened around June 1950. It was operated by T.V. Carraway who also operated the Plaza Theatre in Prentiss. By 1952 it had been renamed Ritz Drive-In. It was initially a 400-car capacity, but by 1955 that had been reduced to 210-cars. In 1959 it reverted back to its original Prentiss Drive-In name. It was still open in 1965, but had closed by 1966. By 1968 it had been demolished and a strip mall was built on the site.

A closer address is 972 Columbia Ave, Prentiss, MS.

The drive-in was located at the “Y” of Columbia and MS-42. It appears intact and operational in a 1955 aerial. By 1968, it had been totally demolished and replaced by what is today a small strip mall.

There is no trace of the drive-in remaining.
