Star Theatre

This small and basic theater was located in a one story wooden shack constructed sometime between 1910 and 1916. It was originally quite shallow, but by 1923 it had been extended to the rear.

An insubstantial coal camp structure, this was likely demolished before Northfork entered its long decline.

The address would originally have been Bridge Street. The last building facing that street, the old city court and jail, was demolished recently, so I can’t even say if this would have been an odd or even number. The site would have been about where the little cinderblock pharmacy is today.
