This theatre opened in 1928 with a seating capacity of 900 and has a Spanish Colonial style exterior. The El Morro Theatre was restored in 1991. It is currently owned by the city of Gallup, and it features peforming arts as well as movies.

I spent one night in Gallup last summer, but unfortunately it was pouring rain, so I didn’t check out the town before leaving the next morning. I’m sorry I missed seeing this theater.
