This theatre was built in 1919 with 300 seats and renovated in 1946 after a fire into an ultramodern style, 400 seat movie theatre. The street level is brick with a large glassed in lobby. The yellow and blue marquee is offset by a crown logo on the other side of the facade. It closed in the mid-1980’s and lay empty.
The theater was vacant and for sale as of March 2004 and the appeared to have been some sort of failed restoration attempt for use as a community center. However work began on a restoration and by early-2007 it is listed as open again as a performing arts centre.

Yes there was a failed restoration attempt in the 1990’s that my mother Marcia Raymond started. She served as the President of the Princess Theatre restoration project and got it off the ground with funding and physical work on the building along with my dad Dave Raymond. She was not able to get enough funding from the residents of Prosser or the State and Federal restoration committee’s to finish the theatre. Plus my mother had to stop serving as the President and attend to some family matters. If anyone is interested in completing the project or buying the theatre I can accomodate any information needed:
