The Vista has been closed since 1985, when a fire broke out inside the theater. The facade and marquee have since been restored, but the interior is still a mess.

The Vista Theatre seated 850 people and was located on Main Street.

It was located at 329 Main Street, Altavista, Va.

This was the Vista in 1981.
