The State Theatre was operating prior to 1941, and continued through the 1950’s. It was later tripled, and is now operated by the R/C Theatres chain.

The State Theatre is located at 12-14 Nelson Street and it seats 708 people.

I believe the State has been divided into a three plex.

It is part of the R-C Theatre chain at the present.

This place is quite nice,if you are in the main auditorium,The former balconey spaces are a little snug.
