Opened as the Highway 53 Drive-In in 1949, this single-screener could accomodate about 400 cars. It was operated by the Grengs family, which today runs the Grengs Theatres chain in the Eau Claire area (which includes the London Square Cinema Six, the Cameo Budget, and the Gemini Drive-In). The Stardusk closed in 1983 and has since been torn down.

Or maybe not. It should be on the Superior page.
I must have missed a few photos on that site. Have fun.
The Stardusk was the first in northwest Wisconsin and originally had a 60 foot screen with parking for 600 cars.
Grand opening April 28, 1949 At that time the name was HiWay 53 Drive-In.
