This small, single-screen drive-in, with room for about 150 cars is one of only a handful of outdoor theaters still in business in Arizona. Located off US Highway 60, between Globe and Miami, the Apache Drive-In is open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday only.

Sorry, I had bad lens flare and not a good angle when I took that photo. Here is a slightly better angle and I’ll definitely stop and get better pictures next time I am up there.
O.K. Leonard was the owner/operator of the Apache in the early 1960s. There was a story in Boxoffice magazine in June 1962 that reported O.K.’s wife had fallen and broken her hip. Nothing got by those intrepid reporters, to be sure.
Was that in Boxoffice or the National Enquirer.
