This single-screen theater opened on May 20, 1947 with Paulette Goddard in “Suddenly It’s Spring”.

It continued to show movies on weekends (Fridays thru Mondays), but was closed in 2012.

ArkanStar February 26, 2014 at 10:35pm. I was 12 years old when I got my first job there as ticket boy, I took your ticket tore it in half and gave you half back. I remember one time the movie posters did’t arrive so I volunteered to designed a couple and hand drew them in color. It made me feel like an artist. That was in 1964 or 65
